Drew Carey is stepping out and sparking a lot of conversation.
The Price Is Right host, 66, was spotted having lunch with OnlyFans star and adult film performer Niki Skyler, 37, in Los Angeles this week. The two were photographed chatting and smiling outside a restaurant, with Carey keeping things casual in a blue plaid shirt and sneakers, while Skyler rocked loose black pants and a fitted tank top.
There was no PDA during the outing, but that hasn’t stopped the internet from speculating. However, a source close to the pair told Page Six that there’s nothing romantic going on; they’re just longtime friends.
“Drew has been friends with Skyler for almost 10 years,” the insider shared.
Skyler, who’s known for her work in the adult entertainment industry and presence on OnlyFans, hasn’t commented on the lunch date. Carey’s rep also hasn’t issued any public statements.
What makes this sighting especially emotional for fans is the timing. It’s been five years since Carey lost his former fiancée, Dr. Amie Harwick, in a tragic and highly publicised murder case. Harwick, a well-known therapist, was killed by her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, in 2020. She was just 38.
Carey and Harwick had started dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2018, though they called it off later that year. Still, their connection ran deep, and Carey has said that they were in contact shortly before her death.
“I think about her every day,” he told Us Weekly earlier this year. “Her death still affects me and my ideas about relationships and intimacy.”
Since her passing, Carey has largely stayed out of the dating scene.
“I have women I go out with and spend time with, but it’s all platonic,” he said. “Amie’s death really affected everything.”
In 2022, he opened up in a 48 Hours interview about how much he was grieving, even describing himself as feeling “like a widower.” When Harwick died, he said he was overwhelmed with grief and called her his “once-in-a-lifetime” love.
Pursehouse, the man responsible for her death, was convicted of first-degree murder in 2023 and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
So while Drew Carey’s lunch with Skyler might raise some eyebrows, those close to him say it’s simply a friendly catch-up, not a romantic development. For a man who’s openly talked about the pain of loss and his complicated relationship with intimacy, this may just be a step toward healing.
